What is up with people and fruits? Earlier I mentioned Apple, so now I am going to introduce to you another fruit, a Blackberry. This tiny little device has strike the business world tremendously for the past few years. The texting thumb. Gluing your eyes to that tiny screen for the latest YouTube video or distracting your focus through Blackberry Messenger. Who is this "fruity" guy that came up with this device? Ah yes, indeed, Mr. Mike Lazaridis. Born in Istanbul, on March 14th, 1961 (age 49), with a net worth of $2.9 billion. Back in 1984, he even got propose from General Motors requesting to develop a network computer control display system. Wow! That's impressive. Not so "fruity" now is he?

Technology has made a huge impact on business world for the past 2 decades. If I mentioned Mr. Steve Jobs in one of my blogs, than it's only fair for me to also mention a man who is just as important in today's world (also because, I am using a PC and to listen to my iPod) Mr. William Henry "Bill" Gates. Born in the same year as his "friend," October 28, 1955 (age 54). Chairman of Microsoft, Co-Chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Director of Berkshire Hathaway, and CEO of Cascade Investment. With a net worth of $53 billion US. With all this money, he's a humble and very realistic man (not cheap), based on a story I heard about him. He wouldn't pay to park his vehicle in a $15/hour parking lot, and rather walk instead. Not only is he's smart but also environment friendly. Two thumbs up, and good luck to you Mr. Gates.

Would you like an orange? No? How about a Banana? No? Ohh ... I know what you want ... an APPLE! Ah yes, Apple. An outstanding company that has change today's technology in a jiffy, with its' distinctive products such as iMac, iPhone, iPod and the latest product, the iPad, including neat accessories and softwares that comes along or to be purchase online to accommodate with your favourite product(s). (Fun fact: for you Canadian tech savvy people out there, the iPad will be coming to Canada at the end of April 2010, starting off as low as $700 CAD) But anyhow, all this technology fairy tales couldn't come true if it wasn't for a man, who wears a turtle neck black sweater and jeans to important presentations, name Steve P. Jobs. Born February 24, 1955 (age 55). The chairman and CEO, Apple Inc, and Board of Directors for Walt Disney Company. With all this hard work, Mr. Jobs got himself a net worth of $5.5 billion US!!!!!!!!! Another fun fact, did you know, for a Caucasian man, he follows Buddhism!! Mr. Jobs, you're pretty amazing to me.

Who said a woman can't do a man's job?! Think again!! This well known woman has helped many women around the world. Things like, "what-to-cook-tonight-within-one-hour-before-guest-come" to decorating your family room by advising on how to pick out the perfect curtains against your light cappuccino walls. Or help you come up with original, simple, cute little thank you cards ideas. She can even help you with your wedding, for crying out loud. This makes her, one of the many famous business people out there in today’s world. That's no other than, Mrs. Martha Stewart. Born as Martha Helen Kostyra, on August 3rd, 1941 (age 68). An entrepreneur, with an amazing television show and neat magazine, she's a woman with a net worth of $658 million. Now that's when you say "what a woman!!"

Business is one of the many industries out there in the world that makes this world go round, and there are extraordinary people to make that happen. Here's a man that we all know very well, and left big footsteps in this industry. Mr. Donald John Trump. Born June 14, 1946 (age 63). This extraordinary man salary is $50 million (according to 2009 statistic) and net worth of $1.6 billon (according to 2010 statistic) and holding the title Chief Executive Officer. What an amazing man!!! Not to mention, he owns Miss Universe Organization. Can this guy be any luckier or what??!
